RIGHT TO RAP II: SYRIA

Background

RAPOLITICS has teamed up with Danish Center for Culture and Development and Images Youth for a number of years. In 2014, we welcomed raptivists from South-Sudan to Denmark and in 2015, we touched upon the issues of censorship and freedom of expression with the help of Syrian raptivists. In 2016 we once again welcomed Refugees of Rap for another project in Denmark.

Project Info

Refugees of Rap visited Denmark in the fall of 2016, co-facilitating a series of rap-workshops in schools and institutions all around the country with coaches from RAPOLITICS. The purpose of the project was to address issues of censorship and freedom of expression through rap music and an emphasis on the situation of Syrian artists and musicians. The workshops was conducted in September/October of 2016.
